Mad Dogs

The inspiration for this story came about from my daughter’s beautiful little red dog, Lady, riding on the front of the motor bike with me as she shows signs of frustration at my riding ability and I’m sure that she felt that she could do much better.

The Haunted House

The inspiration for this story came from a wonderful house that I have had the pleasure to have lived in for several years. This old house resently turned one hundred years old. My children believe the house to be haunted and won’t stay there alone. One night while walking from the river on a full moon late at night, a story came.

Mad Dogs 2

Mad Dogs 2 is set on the Australian outback! On a typical sheep station, the farmer is away on business. Red and Blue feel they are responsible for the farm. Two loud and rowdy birds—a crow who has learned to swear and a one-eyed rooster—have upset the farm yard! Red and Blue decide to move the pair away. This involves driving the big farm tractor to lift and remove the old dunny (outback toilet) where the birds reside. Once this is done, Red and Blue decide to do some more work with the big smoking tractor. Red and Blue are quite pleased with what they do, but the farmer on his return might not be as impressed.

The Storm

Up in the Never Never, in a land of drought and flooding rain,
From the Coral Sea’s warm water a flooding cyclone came.
It had been a generation since a cyclone came ashore,
Bringing cooling rains as had happened years before.
The animals, the natives, of this dry and ancient land,
Had an instinct of the storms that were close and neigh on hand.
The ants were first to sense the coming of the change,
And would build their nests strong and high in preparation for the rains.
Set in the Australian tropic. This book is about the adventure of a baby bat who experiences a cyclone alone!
